A Dubai-based company, LEAP 71, has successfully hot-fired a new AI-designed aerospike engine for 11 seconds, producing 1,100 lb (5,000 N) of thrust. The engine, developed using the Noyron Large Computational Engineering Model, adapts to changing air pressures, overcoming limitations of conventional rocket designs. This innovative approach, leveraging advanced AI and 3D printing technology, demonstrates the potential of AI in aerospace engineering, according to CEO Josefine Lissner.
