Researchers have developed a groundbreaking technology called Moscot ("Multi-Omics Single-Cell Optimal Transport") that allows for the simultaneous observation of millions of cells during organ development, enhancing understanding of complex biological processes. Led by Helmholtz Munich, the interdisciplinary team utilized optimal transport theory and AI to map cellular dynamics accurately. Moscot has already provided new insights into pancreas development and diabetes, paving the way for targeted therapies and personalized medicine.
