Canadian AI startup Cohere has launched Command R7B, a compact large language model (LLM) aimed at businesses for efficient AI deployment on low-end hardware. It features a 128k context length, retrieval-augmented generation, and multilingual support, excelling in various tasks. Priced at $0.0375 per million tokens, it joins other recent models like Microsoft’s Phi-4. Cohere, which focuses on enterprise applications, recently secured $240 million for a new AI data center in Canada.
