New research reveals that individuals with less knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) are more open to its adoption in daily life, a phenomenon termed the "lower literacy-higher receptivity" link. Analyzing data from 27 countries and U.S. students, the study finds that unfamiliarity with AI fosters a sense of wonder, enhancing receptivity despite concerns about AI's capabilities and ethics. This suggests a need for policymakers to balance AI literacy with maintaining public enthusiasm for the technology.
