Microsoft has introduced two new language models, Phi-4 multimodal and Phi-4-mini, as part of its Phi family. Phi-4 multimodal, with 5.6 billion parameters, excels in speech, vision, and text tasks, outperforming competitors like Google Gemini and Whisper. Phi-4-mini, a 3.8 billion-parameter model, focuses on reasoning and coding with efficient processing. Both models are available on Azure AI Foundry and support various industries, enhancing Microsoft's ecosystem, including Copilot+ PCs.
